Afternoon Tea by Boatwright Afternoon Tea by Boatwright
Big fan of alice and the like. I wanted to do a calm version of the Hatter and co. Not too mad, but i imagine they're reading the book upside-down.

Afternoon Tea by ~Boatwright is very well done. The soft textures and the earth tones are highlighted perfectly on the characters as they all share a good book. ( Suggested by Winged-Death and Featured by Aeires )

A few years ago, and young lady asked permission to get it on most of here torso. She sent pics so I know there's at least one tattoo of it. :)

Digital. I made some brushes and went to town. Wish I could recapture that magic. I was fighting a cold at the time. Maybe it was the cough syrup.

Just Photoshop CS. I scanned some random cloth for the vest. I have a brush that looks like a splatter I used for the background. The rest was all normal brushes.

The Mad Hatter maybe reading the book upside-down, but the rat is reading it right side up! : D

I love the delicacy of all the details and the calmness you were going for was definitely achieved : ) Love it!

You've probably heard enough compliments by now- enough that anything I say now will most likely have been said already.
But oh well. :]

It truly is a relief to finally find a deviation of dear Mister Hatter and his crew where he's not a younger version in some anime style that appeals to the sexual desires of teenage girls. *chuckles*

I would love to know how you accomplished that texture though... :P

I wish I could say more on this... heh.

I can never hear enough good things about myself :P

The texture is just a brush I made in photoshop. I varied the size and did different under paintings in a couple of colors. It's been awhile, but I'm pretty sure I did this all on a couple of layers. Just a background and figures.

Whatever I did, I did right and cant replicate it at all. There was some magic in that old hat cause this gets a new fav everyday for the past 2 years or more.
