I've seen that illustration somewhere; thanks for the link. The Wife and I caught a live show of Guy Davis (the singer). Awesome!! Reminds me: I should probably get a few more of his CDs for Mother's Day.

If you can get that album its awesome. Guy did like a whole comic in there. I only saw it once but I know the Devil was in it.

Wow, this is great- are the trees a photograph? And I really like that the edges aren't finished. That's what I noticed and liked first about this piece

I have a couple of tree brushes in PS that I know how to make look like that. Basically do a pass, blur it, do another pass, blur that. Use a layer or two and you create a realistic depth. Then you do some fiddling to make it look like you DIDNT use PS. haha
