After working on the pages I decided to change the cover (the original [link]). I think this pose fits the layout better and shows off that Zeke gets tore up when he goes up against a Steam Powered Lawman (robot).

If you're familiar with the Ballad Of John Henry you might be able to surmise how it turns out.

It was just a sketch I did to get an idea of the battle damaged Zeke. Never meant to be anything else, but like most of my stuff the "from the gut" stuff is the best.

I think I was going for the Unforgiven poster in the sketches then I kept pulling back to see the whole figure and just lost all the drama in that first one. This is more interesting like you say. A lot of folks bought the first issue just based on the cover so I want to try and pull that off again.
